Retail License for the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages

Retail trade means the activity of selling goods directly to individuals and other end consumers for their personal non-commercial use, regardless of the form of payment, including by the glass in restaurants, cafes, bars, and other food service establishments.
Retail sale of alcoholic beverages is only permitted with a valid license.
What Must Be Stated in the Application
The application for a retail license for the sale of alcoholic beverages must specify:
- the address of the point of sale;
- a list of electronic cash registers (ECR), software-based cash registers, or accounting books located at the point of sale;
- details of each ECR: model, modification, serial number, manufacturer, and date of manufacture;
- registration numbers of ECR certificates or accounting books;
- fiscal numbers of software-based cash registers and the date they were registered with the tax authorities.
License Fee
The fee for a retail license for the sale of alcoholic beverages (excluding cider and perry without the addition of spirits) is UAH 8,000 per each ECR listed in the license at the point of sale.
In villages and settlements outside city boundaries, the fee is UAH 500 per ECR at the point of sale for retail trade in alcoholic beverages (excluding cider and perry).
